What I would say is that the pics are slightly deceptive as it sort of shows plenty of land for kids to play on but as it turned it it was all fenced-off (with barbed wire) farmland. I would also suggest mentioning that there is no place to store clothes in the premises. It was very much a 'living out the suitcase' situation. Finally for the price and considering the wood-fired hot-tub is a feature of the booking throwing in enough wood for the week rather than paying £8 a day (if used daily) I don't think would be too much to ask? Overall a fun little place to stay with all you need and the owners were friendly and accommodating.

It's a beautiful cabin, in an even more beautiful location. I stayed with my husband and two young children , who absolutely loved it. It's not the most accessible accommodation for anyone with mobility issues - both sleeping areas are accessed by steps up to the mezzanine, with quite low ceilings. We managed fine, the kids very quickly learned how to manoeuvre it safely and very much enjoyed the novelty of it! Just a couple of banged heads by the grown ups! It's also a little bit of a walk once you've parked the car, down a slightly uneven gravel path. Not an issue for us, but could be for some. The road down to the cabin is a long farm track. Much like the roads in the area, it's very narrow and windy. We got used to it by the end of the week! We were pleased to find a pint of milk and some fresh eggs on arrivals, which was very much appreciated! The kitchen is very well stocked, better than anywhere I've stayed before! Tea towel, washing up liquid, tin opener... All provided! And really lovely dishes and pans too. For such a small space, it works really well. There's very little storage so we did keep our clothes in the bags, but there is a fair amount of floor space in the bedrooms so that was fine! We all slept really well, the curtains do a good job blocking the sun. The bathroom was lovely, with a nice hot shower. A big enough sofa for us all to watch the Tele in an evening, and really appreciated the availability of streaming and WiFi. The hot tub was the star of the show. We struggled to get it to light, but luckily my parents were in the area so grandad to the rescue! The best thing is once it's hot, all you need to do when you want to use it again, is add more wood. The lid keeps the heat in! It was amazing watching the barn owl whilst star gazing in the hot tub. The location is brilliant. Mothecombe beach is down the road and was £3 to park. Lovely sand and rocks to explore. (Again, a bit steep of a walk). And nearby surfing cow gelato is a must! Only 25 mins to Plymouth centre, and only just over an hour over the border to Cornwall. Worth noting that as it's very nearby to the farm house, you do get regular visits by chickens and the dog, who was very well behaved. Kim was very responsive and helpful via WhatsApp, despite being super busy herself, which was really appreciated. If we are ever back in the area, I would certainly consider staying here again! My parents even said they'd live there!
