Highbridge 2.3 miles. Mallard is a charming bungalow located in the village of Watchfield, close to the popular market town of Highbridge, near Burnham-on-Sea on the North Somerset coastline. With open countryside views on the grounds of the owner’s non-working farm, it's perfect for couples and friends seeking a quiet escape. Having parked safely on the private gravelled drive, a few steps will take you to the enclosed gated garden, perfect for your canine friend to run around and for you to sit in the sun with an ice-cold drink. Come inside to a welcoming open-plan living space with a kitchen for you to show off your culinary skills in, a dining area for dinner dates or family meals and a sitting area with plush seating to watch your favourite movies. When sleep calls, freshen up in the bathroom and catch your rest in the nicely-presented double bedroom. When you're ready to explore, there is a pub, restaurant and cider farm only a stone's throw away, with further amenities nearby in the town of Highbridge. Within driving distance are the Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre and the popular caves of Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, along with historic Wells, England’s smallest city. There are several nature reserves on the Somerset Levels which provide fantastic opportunities for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and photographers while fishing is also incredibly popular in the area with many carp fishing lakes just minutes away. There are also fabulous walks in the Quantock and Mendip Hills and along nearby coastal paths. Mallard is an ideal holiday home where you'll enjoy yourself whatever the occasion. Explore the Somerset Levels and enjoy the local pubs along the way, and there are fabulous walks in the Quantock and Mendip Hills, or along the coastal paths, plus this area has several top class golf courses. Within driving distance are the Willows and Wetlands Visitor Centre and the popular caves of Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole, plus the historic Wells Cathedral in England’s smallest city is well worth a visit. There is something for everyone in this part of Somerset.
