About this property

This delightful, ground floor holiday home enjoys beautiful views from a large, open pan living area from three sets of bi-fold doors. It has a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table where you can all dine together and enjoy meals made from fresh local produce, as well as a sitting area with two large comfy sofas and a large TV. The bedrooms are bright and spacious, one with twin beds and another with double beds. The master double room also offers an en-suite shower room. You can sit outside and enjoy the views in the sunshine, or take the short walk to the village pub for a good meal on their alfresco dining patio. An excellent place for friends and families to explore Somerset from. Note: This property is attached to Ref. 957128, together they sleep 12.

Named after the nearby River Cam and Queen Margaret of France, the pretty village of Queen Camel is well served by local shops and pubs. It is just six miles from the market town of Yeovil and the historic town of Sherborne, home to the castle built by Sir Walter Raleigh. The surrounding area abounds in historical interest and is probably most well known for nearby Cadbury Castle, an ancient hill fort thought to be the site of King Arthur's Camelot! A great place to relax and explore.

We had excellent time. Maybe some more attention to detail would have helped. But overall a great experience.

Courteous welcome with complimentary Prosecco. A few niggles which could be remedied if the owners spent a night or two in there...kitchen utensils adequate, but knives blunt, one kettle defective - a little attention to detail would turn a satisfactory experience into a good one and turn four star rating into five!

The house was really clean, spacious and well maintained. The kitchen had every tool you could possibly need. The house was warm with comfortable sofas and beds. The parking area was big enough to easily fit the two cars we had with us. I liked that the gate was placed so that you could close it while still on the drive.
