This wonderful, deceptively spacious, single-storey property is in the small hamlet of Yarford and has undergone a beautiful renovation. Situated at the foot of the picturesque Quantock Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is a great spot for those wanting a walking holiday in the Quantocks. Head out to collect fossils while exploring the beaches or stay close to the cottage with peaceful countryside and charming local pub to enjoy – Somerset has lots to offer. Make the most of this great location and take a nostalgic trip aboard the West Somerset Railway steam train (3.5 miles) to the sandy beach of Blue Anchor Bay (16.5. miles), or the pretty fishing harbour at Watchet (13.5 miles). Exmoor National Park is close by to the west, 15 miles away, and boasts natural beauty spots and seaside towns. The county town of Taunton is virtually on your doorstep (4.5 miles) and has an array of amenities. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include numerous National Trust properties, Dunster Castle (17.5 miles) and Hestercombe Gardens (2.5 miles).
Step inside this beautiful property and you will immediately find yourself in the light, open-plan sitting room/kitchen/diner with exposed beams. The sitting room area has a Smart TV, a warming wood burner and comfy sofas which overlook the garden. On warm sunny days, open the French doors to the enclosed garden making the space even larger. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes, which can be enjoyed around the dining table. There are two beautifully decorated bedrooms at either end of the property. Accessed via one step is the attractive master king-size bedroom with views of a garden and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The second has a zip-and-link super-king size bed which can convert to a twin on request and benefits from an en-suite wet room.
Head out onto the sunny patio which is a delightful outside space to relax in and enjoy views over the surrounding fields. There is a table and chairs, so you can enjoy your morning coffee or some al fresco dining on the charcoal BBQ. From the patio head up three steps to the enclosed lawned garden. Please note, the lawn area will be ready for summer 2024.
