Mews Cottage in Minehead, Somerset, is praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location for exploring the village and nearby walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen and cosy atmosphere, though parking can be tight for larger vehicles. The cottage's lack of outdoor space and views are noted, but do not detract from the overall positive experiences.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's immaculate condition, noting it as warm, welcoming, and spotlessly clean. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of their stay.
The cottage's location is highly regarded for its proximity to local shops, pubs, and scenic walks. Its central position in Porlock village and access to the Exmoor region are major draws, despite some comments about the outlook and parking challenges.
Reviews highlight the cottage's cosy and comfortable setting, with a well-appointed interior and sufficient heating. Comfortable beds and a hot shower add to the relaxing experience, although there are occasional mentions of the living room being chilly.
The cottage is commended for its well-equipped kitchen and overall facilities. However, some guests experienced minor issues with parking and the log burner, and one mentioned a lack of a starter pack for the log burner, which affects the score slightly.
While guests express satisfaction with the cottage's amenities and the responsiveness of the owner and cleaning company, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under the category of thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

We would certainly return. Thank you
Caroline
It was well presented, clean with clear instructions for all appliances in the handy visitors manual. The only minor issue was the parking space allocated for the propery. Fortunately we read previous reviews and opted to travel in our smaller car, which proved to be a perfect fit. Our longer car would have caused an obstruction for other vehicles visiting the neighbouring properies. All in all we thoroughlt enjoyed our stay and there was plenty to see and do within the week.

Lots of lovely walks direct from the door. The cottage is very well equipped and cosy, just right for the two of us. The local food shops are good and a great butcher too. We managed the tight parking easily, but this might be more of a problem when all the allocated spaces are full. There is a car park very close though. The only things missing were salt and pepper! And maybe a mixing bowl!
