For outings further afield why not try the market town of Dulverton? the medieval town of Dunster with its castle, and Porlock where Exmoor meets the sea and where you will have to experience the famous Porlock Hill.

Within Withypool, there are the local General Stores/Post Office, and tearooms. The local pub is noted for good ale and bar/restaurant food. Also available are good B & B's and holiday cottages. There are excellent short and long walks in and around this destination, including the Two Moors Way that passes through the village. One of the most popular walks is a four mile riverside stroll to Tarr Steps, with attractive scenery.
