Guests say

Cherry Lodge in Somerset offers a clean, private retreat with a well-maintained hot tub and a touch of wildlife from the nearby zoo. While some guests found the lodge cosy and the garden secluded, others noted the compact space and suggested improvements for comfort. The property is praised for its cleanliness and the staff for their friendliness.

The majority of reviews praise the lodge for its cleanliness, with several guests highlighting the well-kept condition of both the lodge and the hot tub. The consistent mention of cleanliness across reviews justifies a high score.

The location is appreciated for its proximity to a small zoo, contributing to a unique experience with animal sounds. The lodge's setting within a holiday site is also mentioned positively. However, there is no detailed information on the convenience of the location in relation to other attractions or amenities.

Guests have mixed feelings about comfort; some found the lodge cosy and the bed comfortable, while others reported the bed being too small and the mattress of poor quality. The mixed feedback suggests an average level of comfort.

Facilities like the hot tub are frequently commended, though some guests expressed concerns about privacy and the size of the bathroom. The presence of a fully functioning kitchen and the maintenance of the hot tub are positive aspects, but the critiques cannot be overlooked.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Without such references, it is not possible to assess this category.

Very clean and a well equipped kitchen with everything you would need and an added bonus was an under cover BBQ. Hot tub was under cover with fairy lights, which was so lovely. The hot tub was cleaned twice a day, so was immaculate. Very private as is surrounded by high fencing. Bedroom and bathroom are absolutely fine for 2 people and plenty of storage for clothes. We stayed for a week and staff were all lovely and helpful but not intrusive. Good communication during our stay from the owner. Lots to do in the surrounding area. We loved hearing the Gibbons every morning and afternoon from the Wildlife Park across the road. Definitely worth a visit, as is a trip on the Somerset West Railway and a visit to Fossil Beach. Perfect lodge for a romantic break. Will look forward to retuning. Definitely recommend.

Completely private in its own lawned and graveled area with high hedges and fences all around. The hot tub was superb. The bedroom and bathroom were a little cramped though.

Really could not fault the facilities and the cabin. Will definitely plan to return again.
