Guests have enjoyed their stays at the Old Bridge Post Office, praising its comfortable furnishings, well-equipped nature, and the charming village location. The property's unique features, such as the 'river room' and the deck overlooking the stream, have been particularly appreciated. While there have been minor issues mentioned, the overall sentiment is positive, with the local pub and shop adding to the convenience and enjoyment of the stay.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, though some guests noted the presence of cobwebs and suggested the oven could benefit from a thorough cleaning. These appear to be isolated comments rather than a consistent concern.
The location is highly praised for its peaceful village setting, friendly locals, and proximity to shops and a reputable pub. It's also considered a great base for exploring Somerset and enjoying local walks.
The cottage is frequently described as cosy and comfortable, with comfy beds and a warm atmosphere. However, a few guests mentioned issues with hot water and difficult stairs for those with mobility issues.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-furnished kitchen and large TVs. Some guests experienced issues with the hot water system and bi-fold doors, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the thoughtfulness of the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Your cottage had everything we needed and the village was so amazingly friendly. Our whippet enjoyed his stay too so thanks for making it pet friendly.

The shop & pub were very handy with friendly staff. The cottage was great with all its quirky features & decor & fully stocked with all the essentials . Super comfy beds & no outside noise, we slept like babies. A few snags, such as filling the bath, no big deal as the shower was there. The patio door locked was not working so we couldnât make the best use of the riverside balcony, obviously there had been previous problems as a screwdriver was on the floor beside the door. The glass door could have had a wipe down as they were smeared with hand prints & smudges, there was also a broken guitar tucked behind the sofa in the living room. Would have been nice to have a welcome book to tell us about the house & things to do in the area. However the positives far outweigh the negatives & we had a very pleasant stay.
