Amenities were good. We had a problem with the thermostat for the heating, but the owners swiftly came to the rescue and it didnât interfere with our stay. The property is well placed for visiting many places in the vicinity Bath being one. A tip is to take the park and ride. Bristol, Weston Supermare Castle Combe, Lacock and Chew Valley Reservoir and. Cheddar Gorge are a MUST to see. Jenny who lives next door to the adjoining cottage couldnât be more welcoming. A rarity we have to say. We have stayed in Sykes Cottages many times and only 2 of the owners have been friendly and went the extra mile. It certainly makes the holiday So thank you Jenny and Eric

Sadly it was too wet and chilly to sit outside on the very private patio, which is surrounded by trees and lawn, but it would be lovely in the warmer weather. The friendly owners live in the adjoining property, and are keen to ensure that everything is well for their visitors.
