Walk the short distance into the centre of town or jump in your car to drive to Paignton, a little further away (5.5 miles). You can also travel across the bay to Torquay (8 miles) by car or by boat.

Before you enter the property, take in the perfectly manicured front garden with a lawn and patio, entirely enclosed by fences and hedges to offer pets and children somewhere safe to play. Let yourself in and explore the interiors, all laid out on a single storey. The open-plan living space is the house’s central hub, with a lounge, kitchen and diner providing ample comfy space to get lost in conversation or stuck into a board game together. Versatility is assured when it comes to the sleeping space, as one of two bedrooms offers a zip-and-link bed to be made up in twin or super-king-size formation, ideal for any two sharers.

Whilst Brixham is a hot spot for beautiful beaches, you can stay a little bit closer to home by spending time on Man Sands Beach (1.5 miles). Accessible via a footpath through verdant countryside, this shingle beach offers a pretty shore at low tide, a pleasant place to sunbathe. From here, follow the coastal path to Coleton Fishacre (2.5 miles), a National Trust-maintained 1920s house to tour with an RHS-accredited garden. You’re then not far from the riverside town of Dartmouth (3 miles) with its fabulous waterfront castle, independent shops, and quality restaurants.
