Edinburgh House has a rich history, once believed to have been a private casino frequented by the Duke of Edinburgh in the 1870s, who was a regular visitor to Aldeburgh due to his love for sailing. The property also has strong literary connections, having once been owned by the renowned crime author Ruth Rendell.
