Guests enjoyed the garden and found the property roomy, with a well-equipped kitchen and good Wi-Fi. The cottage's charm and proximity to local attractions were highlights.
Several reviews mention a lack of cleanliness, with reports of dirty windows, cobwebs, and a general sense that the property could be better cared for. The garden and exterior also received comments about being untidy.
The location is consistently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to shops, pubs, the beach, and local attractions. Guests appreciated the proximity to dining options and the peacefulness despite being on the main road.
The cottage is described as cosy and comfortable by many guests, with a lovely garden and summerhouse. However, some guests found the furniture, particularly the sofa and bed, to be uncomfortable, and issues with drafts were mentioned.
Facilities received mixed reviews, with guests appreciating the well-equipped kitchen and Wi-Fi, but also reporting maintenance issues such as problems with the shower, TV, and heating. The garden's condition and some broken items were also points of concern.
While some guests mentioned the lack of a welcome bottle of wine, which they had come to expect from other properties, there is not enough information to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, this score is set to null, and guests should note that such gifts are not guaranteed.

The cottage was so unwelcoming, apart from the awful colour it was painted, the tiny garden had large refuse bin & a pathway that had never been swept & windows that looked like they had never been cleaned outside for months. First impressions! Inside I know that it's a listed building but it was so tired looking, the lounge needs a revamp of furniture, curtains & paint job. The kitchen area was fine and there was all we needed. The shower was good and well planned in the small space but it just felt so unloved. Also it's the first cottage we have been in that there wasn't a little welcome pack, which we have always thought a nice touch. We were very lucky with the weather but the back garden was so untidy and bare & not relaxing chairs to sit on, it really spoilt it for us. We actually felt so uncomfortable in it, probably made worse that the property next door was a historical custom house, beautifully kept that everyone stopped to admire it that we left a day early as we felt so uncomfortable in it. To make matters worse when I booked it whish was with a sister company of yours, I somehow ending making the booking for September 2025 by mistake, you couldn't understand how it could have happened because of the days the booking was made but you rearranged it & didn't charge for doing so but it still cost me an extra £80 more than it should have done. So it's a definite no return for us.

The cottage was perfect for the two of us along with our dog, in a fantastic location at the end of, but right on, the High Street. The living room is cosy and the kitchen is very well equipped. There is not much hanging space in the bedroom, but the chest of drawers was more than enough for us to store our clothes, and the bed was very comfy. The enclosed back garden was not only a delight for the dog, the patio table and chairs have been perfectly positioned to catch the sun most of the day and the summerhouse was a lovely spot for breakfast. The only comment is that the listing description and the info folder in the property both need updating slightly - the TV does not seem to have a built-in CD/DVD player, and the info folder suggests making use of a vacuum cleaner which we couldn't find. All in all, though, a fabulous stay in delightful cottage to which we would definitely consider returning.

We had such a relaxing stay. And we really enjoyed the garden and summerhouse. Just a couple of minor things to feedback. In the welcome pack it states no use of candles, yet every room had them, so I would suggest removing them as Iâm sure this is in fire risk assessment. ( not that we used them :) ). We hope to return very soon. Many Thanks Julie and Shane and Masha the dog
