Shoemakers Cottage in Friston is highly praised for its cleanliness, charming character, and well-equipped nature, with a lovely garden and thoughtful touches. Its location is ideal for exploring Suffolk's coast and countryside. Some guests noted the steep stairs and interlinking bedrooms, but overall, the cottage offers a comfortable and homely stay with a warm welcome.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as very clean, spotless, and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
The cottage's location is frequently commended for its peacefulness, proximity to local attractions, and ease of access to the Suffolk coast, making it a prime spot for sightseeing and walks.
The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with comfy beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, some mention that the second bed is uncomfortable and the seating in the lounge is limited, slightly affecting the comfort score.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and garden. Maintenance issues like the upstairs shower and lounge seating are noted, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.
Many reviews mention a welcome pack and treats for both humans and dogs, reflecting the owner's thoughtfulness. While these gifts are appreciated, it's important to note they may vary and are not guaranteed.
