A beautiful single-storey detached coach house resting in teh countryside just 7 miles from the coast. Rookery Cottage is a stylish abode for those looking to explore the countryside and coastal delights of Suffolk. Rookery Cottage will cater for a family or two couples. Settle down with a coffee in the pretty sitting room, where a wonderful wood-burning stove, and large windows allow in seas of light can be enjoyed. When mealtimes call, you will simply love the delightful kitchen/dining area, with loads of amenities stashed neatly into contemporary furniture, a dining table sits all guests to heart-warming meals. This beautiful property has three stunning bedrooms to match, two sumptuous king-size bedrooms, one with en-suite and a perfect space for young children with a fun bunk-room. Freshen up in the stylish family bathroom before settling down for the night. The garden is a fantastic space for guests to enjoy during the warmer months, with an ample patio area with outdoor dining table and chairs. The property is the perfect base from which to explore the delights of Suffolk with Saxmundham on the doorstep as well as some great walks with a few gorgeous pubs on the way, ideal to stop off for a quick tipple before you continue your hike! There are a number of popular golf courses in the area and the concert hall and curated shopping mall of Snape Maltings are just a few miles away. Attractions worth visiting while you’re in the area include Glemham Hall, Framlingham Castle, Yoxford Antiques Centre and Gardens, Adnams Brewery and Africa Alive zoo. Jump in the car to visit some great towns and villages including Southwold, Aldeburgh, Great Yarmouth and Ipswich. Enjoying a superb setting, Rookery Meadow is the perfect holiday destination and promises a break to remember.
Saxmundham is a small market town located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. The town is well serviced with a Waitrose, Tesco, independent shops, local museum, and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market. Situated so close to the coast, Saxmundham is a great base for a seaside holiday; within easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, as well as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick, you could enjoy a different coastal location each day. Also close by is the inland market town Framlingham with beautiful historic architecture, a castle and an array of independent shops. South of the town there is the well known tourist destination of Sutton Hoo, an ancient Royal Anglo-Saxon burial site.
