The second-floor living area has a welcoming sitting area with a generous amount of seating and doors leading onto a shared terrace, which is ideal for enjoying a drink or bite to eat alfresco. When you start to get hungry, then make your way to the well fitted kitchen which comes complete with all you need to be able to produce great food for your whole holiday party. At mealtimes, you can either serve up at the less formal breakfast bar or pull up a chair at the elegant dining table; both lend themselves to long and lazy meals together. Both bedrooms are beautifully presented; choose from a king-size or a twin and with a shower and a bath, there won’t be any queues for the bathroom either. After breakfast and a morning coffee on the terrace, it’s time to get out and about and explore. Suffolk has so much to offer whether you’re looking for high energy adventure or something more sedate; there is something for everyone. Take a stroll into delightful Southwold famous for its pier and beach and also home to the well-known Adnams Brewery or head up the coast to Thorpeness which also fantastic beaches; a great spot for a picnic. Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, rspb Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.

We used a torch on subsequent nights. The bed was incredibly comfortable, however the settee was less so. Apart from that the apartment was exceptionally well appointed and the parking was excellent
