The Hive in Southwold is a well-received apartment, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and central location close to shops, cafes, and the beach. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, such as welcome gifts and underfloor heating, though some noted areas for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
Guests consistently noted the property's cleanliness, with one particularly impressed by how beautifully presented it was upon arrival. There was a minor comment about the outside space needing some tidying, but overall, the cleanliness is highly rated.
The location is frequently highlighted as a major plus, with its proximity to local amenities, the beach, and the bonus of a parking space. However, one guest found the nearby playground less desirable due to privacy concerns.
The apartment's comfort is well-regarded, with mentions of cosy underfloor heating and comfortable beds. There were some minor comments about the bathrooms needing a refresh and a draught in one of the bedrooms.
While the apartment's facilities are generally appreciated, several guests reported issues with maintenance such as tricky doors, a broken bench, and problematic kitchen equipment. These points suggest that while the facilities are good, there is room for improvement.
Guests have mentioned welcome gifts, which indicates thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and there is insufficient information on other thoughtful provisions or gestures, a definitive score cannot be provided.
