This quirky hideaway surrounded by towering chestnut and rowan trees in a secluded forest will allow you to feel close to nature from its large glass panels in every room. Treat your small family or partner plus two four-legged friends to a relaxing stay in this charming wooden lodge and explore the mountain peaks, rural towns and waterfalls of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons).
Complementing its exterior, the quiet open-plan living space boasts wooden furnishings and green decor. Your attention will be drawn to the picture window, unique wooden panelling and circular skylights as you settle into the cosy lounge area on a sofa beside the wood burner*. Next to this is a compact kitchen with a gas hob, air fryer, fridge and small freezer which is ideally sized for cooking a simple meal for four. Both bedrooms contain zip-and-link double beds, which can be made up as two singles on request and are surrounded by geometric windows. There is also one family shower room. Outside, you can enjoy use of the BBQ.
Set in a wild and scenic forest, your four-pawed companions will love sniffing out the walking trails in this rural area of Wales. Venture into the nearby town of Hay-on-Wye (0.5 miles) and stop for some refreshments at a cosy cafe or pub after strolling along the River Wye, visiting the historic Hay Castle. During your stay on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) (less than 0.5 miles), put on your hiking boots and soak up the scenery on a walk around the reservoirs, waterfalls and majestic mountain peaks.
