All three offer something different to guests, with Abergavenny boasting a castle with its own museum, shops, pubs and restaurants, Hay-on-Wye with its number of book shops and the city of Hereford boasting a stunning cathedral and many amenities to suit all tastes. The area offers numerous walks and cycle trails, especially in the nearby Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and the Black Mountains. The village of Ewyas Harold is situated on the Dulas Brook, in the Golden Valley and offers two pubs, a well-stocked shop selling local produce, a Post Office and an award-winning fish and chip shop. Within driving distance are the city of Hereford and the market towns of Hay-on-Wye and Abergavenny.
