Wye Valley Cottage is praised for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and well-equipped nature, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. Guests appreciate the peaceful surroundings, local walks, and wildlife. The property is family-friendly, offering cots and stairgates. Some guests noted minor issues with maintenance and access roads, but these do not detract from the overall positive experiences.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning it being clean and well-kept. However, a few guests noted areas for improvement, such as an overgrown garden and the need for a more thorough outdoor tidy-up.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions and walks. Some guests found the access roads challenging, but the scenic value and peacefulness contribute to a high score.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about steep stairs and creaky floors, which could affect comfort for some visitors.
The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and offers amenities for families. However, there are comments about the need for better maintenance in some areas, such as the garden and patio furniture, and the lack of Wi-Fi was a drawback for some.
While guests appreciate the provision of items such as cots and stairgates, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

Everything we could wish for provided. Stunning walks, views, and meals at the Ferry Inn great. Had many Sykes cottage holidays, this cottage top of the list for comfort, cleanliness, and facilities. Maisie our cockapoo loved the doggy treats and toys to play with too. All very enjoyable.

Lovely and warm in November. Well equipped and situated in a lovely spot with the windows looking out on to a hillside lit up with autumn colour. Lots to do in and around the area. We look forward to a return visit.

North Ferries Inn a short walk away, advisable to book if you have dogs - take a torch for the walk back! Cottage tricky to find but owner sent helpful info for how to get there.
