Hill Brow is a charming and characterful cottage nestled in a tranquil Shropshire setting, beloved for its wildlife-rich garden and cosy ambience. Guests frequently praise the property's peacefulness, the delightful birdwatching opportunities, and the homely feel that makes it a welcoming retreat. The cottage's unique quirks and vintage charm add to the experience, making it a favoured choice for those seeking a rustic getaway with picturesque views and a sense of bygone eras.
The majority of guests have not raised concerns about cleanliness, suggesting the property is well-maintained. However, a few guests mentioned areas that could benefit from more thorough cleaning, indicating room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to walking paths and local attractions. The rural setting contributes to a peaceful atmosphere, which is consistently appreciated by guests.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with warm bedrooms, a cosy lounge, and a delightful conservatory. The presence of a wood burner adds to the comfort level, although some guests noted the property can be chilly at times.
The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and a great shower. However, comments about non-working items like the Arger and the desire for modern updates suggest that some aspects of the facilities could be enhanced.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of bird food and a welcome pack, which are mentioned positively in reviews. While these gestures are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are offered at the owners' discretion and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

It had everything you could want to enjoy your stay. The garden was excellent and so secure allowing my dogs the freedom to play outside safely. The area was great and so beautiful. I really hope to return next year.

The conservatory is perfect for relaxing, the garden is beautiful and the house contains everything needed for a great holiday. We love it here and have already booked for our third visit next year.
