The call a few days before from Chloe to give us key information - and particularly to give us a heads up about the recent flooding in the area - was great. The area is very nice - very rural and quiet (though will depend a bit on how busy the surrounding cottages are!), and some nice walks along the nearby ridge and other paths. There were signs the cottage is well used, in that a few things were worn/broken or loose and could use attention - the bits I noted were: - One of cafetieres has the wrong lid for the body, so wonât work - Lots of loose fixtures, e.g. glass holders, towel holders in bathrooms - Missing/broken stairgate wall fixings upstairs (and one missing downstairs) - Loose screws under both small coffee tables resulting in wobbly legs - Corkscrew broken and close to unusable All the essentials were in good order though, so none of the above greatly affected our stay.

Having a washing machine was an added bonus. The home made cake and wine was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Hot tub was amazing. The walks and views were lovely.
