Tucked down by the River Roden in Aston in Shropshire, Roden Retreat is built on raised decking and has it all with six acres of private land to wander and explore, a wood-fired hot tub, and indoor bathroom. It is the most wonderful place to escape for a few days.

Driving down to Roden Retreat you really are getting away from it all. The bell tent is set down by the river and erected on decking making it a lovely spot for watching the water babble by and wildlife roam. Inside you are treated to a king-size bed complete with linens and towels. The tent is lit with lanterns, and the log burner makes the evenings cosy and warm. There are side tables and a coffee table with storage should you wish to unpack your belongings. There is a camping stove along with all crockery, cutlery, glassware and pots and pans. The separate bathroom area is in a cabin, also on the decking, and is home to a butler sink, shower and WC. A rattan dining table and chairs are also on the decking for those that love dining al fresco, along with a gas BBQ. Taking centre stage is the wood-fired hot tub which is the perfect place to spend the evenings watching the sun go down and stars come out.

The owners are happy to take more than two guests and can provide an airbed for an additional charge.
