The Foxes Den is a well-received cottage in the Peak District & Derbyshire Dales, offering a peaceful and quiet stay with a comfortable setting. Guests appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, the friendly locals, and the thoughtful touches like a welcome hamper. While parking is not directly at the property, it's compensated by the cottage's charm and nearby amenities.
The cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, with guests finding it very clean and of good quality. One mention of a slightly dirty sink and draining board on arrival slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly regarded for its peacefulness, quietness, and proximity to local amenities and countryside. The lack of on-site parking is noted, but spots are available a short walk away.
Guests find the cottage comfortable and welcoming, with special mentions of a comfy bed and the ability to enjoy warm evenings outside. The comfort of the cottage contributes to its overall appeal.
Facilities are generally good, with everything needed for a stay. However, one guest noted a lack of kitchen utensils, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
The owners are commended for their thoughtfulness, particularly with the welcome hamper. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

South-east of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England, is a sizable village called Tean. The settlement is traversed by the River Tean as it flows eastward toward Uttoxeter. The village is made up of Upper Tean, which is the larger of the two, and Lower Tean, which are both located in the Staffordshire Moorlands district's Checkley ward. The southern end of the Peak District is only a short drive away, and the surrounding area is primarily rural and agricultural. Three churches, a village hall, several bars and stores, nurseries, and a small park are all present. Stoke on Trent, located farther away, is home to numerous tourist centres, award-winning museums, real factory tours, more than 25 pottery factory shops, and the prestigious Staffordshire Hoard.
