While some have mentioned issues with flies and maintenance, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
The property generally receives high praise for cleanliness, with several reviews noting top-notch standards and a clean environment upon arrival. However, a few guests mentioned issues with flies and one instance of dead flies left uncleaned, slightly affecting the score.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty and tranquillity, with the lakeside setting providing a serene backdrop. The remote aspect is appreciated for a break from the real world, although some guests found it challenging to locate the property.
Guests find the lodge comfortable and spacious, with plenty of room and cosy interiors. The presence of flies and issues with temperature control in some instances have been noted, but overall, the comfort level is highly rated.
The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, games room, and hot tub, are generally appreciated. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as the hot tub requiring manual heating, poor Wi-Fi, and damaged furniture, leading to a lower score.
The welcome package with treats like fresh eggs and a bottle of fizz is frequently mentioned and appreciated, showcasing the owner's thoughtfulness. It is noted that such gifts enhance the experience, though they may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.
