Guests say

Guests consistently praise The Salt Pot for its cosy, clean, and quirky charm. The cottage's location is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with scenic views and peaceful surroundings. Comfort is highlighted by a warm log burner and a very comfortable bed. The property's facilities, including a well-appointed kitchen and a sauna, receive positive mentions. The hosts' friendliness and helpfulness add to the welcoming atmosphere, and while gifts like eggs are appreciated, they are a delightful bonus rather than a certainty.

Reviewers frequently mention the immaculate condition of the cottage, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The property is consistently described as spotless, which suggests meticulous upkeep by the owners.

The property's location is highly praised for its stunning views and proximity to local attractions. It offers a balance of seclusion for peace and quiet, with easy access to nearby towns and scenic walks, making it an ideal base for exploring.

Comfort is a recurring theme in the reviews, with guests finding the cottage very comfortable and cosy. The presence of a log burner and a comfortable bed are frequently mentioned, contributing to the overall comfort of the stay.

The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen, sauna, and wood burner, are appreciated by guests. However, a few minor suggestions for improvement prevent a perfect score, indicating room for enhancement in maintenance.

While guests express gratitude for the thoughtful touches like starter provisions and freshly laid eggs, there are not enough references to consistently provided gifts to warrant a score. The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident, but as gifts are not guaranteed, a score cannot be assigned.

The owners were on site at all times if you needed anything or advice (places to go, directions etc) Nothing was a problem! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and want to return in the future and will recommend this little gem to friends and family

The place is in a great central location to use as a base to go and visit the likes of Haworth, hebden bridge and Skipton. It was great to see the improvements they have made since last year. If you are an animal lover it’s a must too meet Byron the cat who has a tendency to just walk in when your back is turned and the two loveable dogs Bella and Delilah. Can’t wait to come back again next year!

It was so peaceful and relaxing. Rebecca and Alec were very welcoming, I would certainly recommend a stay at Salt Pot Cottage.
