Guests say

Swallow Barn is highly praised for its stunning location, spaciousness, and luxurious touches like underfloor heating. Guests appreciate the property's suitability for large groups and family gatherings, with its ample communal space and comfortable bedrooms. The surrounding Yorkshire Dales offer beautiful views and sunsets, with plenty of activities and walks nearby. The welcoming touches from the owners, including games and possibly local produce, contribute to a memorable stay.

Guests consistently describe the property as clean and well-maintained, with several reviews specifically mentioning the immaculate condition upon arrival. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The property's location is frequently highlighted for its breathtaking countryside views and proximity to local attractions. While some guests mention the remoteness and access roads, the peaceful setting and nearby conveniences like shops and supermarkets are well-regarded.

Comfort is a strong point for Swallow Barn, with guests finding the beds cosy and the underfloor heating a luxurious bonus. The spaciousness and open plan design allow for easy interaction and movement, adding to the comfort of the stay.

The facilities at Swallow Barn generally meet guests' expectations, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample bathrooms. However, some guests note minor issues with kitchenware and Wi-Fi strength, and a desire for more enclosed outdoor space for pets.

While guests mention thoughtful touches like games, puzzles, and welcoming tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits, there is insufficient information to determine if these are consistent offerings or occasional gifts. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such items will always be provided.

The views across the valley from the top of the dales were absolutely breathtaking and the sense of space both outside and inside the barn was wonderful. The rooms were really comfortable and cosy (one or two of us found the beds a bit too soft but realise this is personal preference so you won't please everyone!) and having 5 bedrooms for the 8 of us in our group, 3 being ensuite and with an additional family bathroom and downstairs toilet, was excellent. The kitchen was really well equipped and the dining area was perfectly set up for family/group meals. We loved the lounge and got great views of the sunsets. Thank you again.

Felt very rural but actually convenient for all your needs including shops Great location for walking and Saltaire. Easy train ride to Leeds with free parking. Nice canal walks. Enjoyed steam train ride and walk to Bolton Abbey Comfy beds for all. Plenty of space and very warm. Great responsive hosts.

Will definitely stay again. An extra set of keys would help as we were 3 families.
