The living room with rustic stone flooring provides superb far reaching views, and upstairs you will find fluffy towels and Egyptian cotton sheets, all making this a perfect bolthole for couples.
Occupying a picturesque elevated position in the Pennine village of Pecket Well, the property is surrounded by spectacular countryside and provides an ideal base for both walking and cycling. Pecket Well borders the National Trust woodlands of Hardcastle Crags and Crimsworth Dean, and the 50-mile circular Calderdale Way passes close by. You can also pick up stone-paved packhorse tracks.
A 2-minute walk will take you to a local dog-friendly pub serving food, a post office and local store is 1 mile away and just 2 miles away is the buzzing, bohemian market town of Hebden Bridge which is not to be missed. Here you will find ample independent shops, bars, cafés and restaurants, together with a Victorian railway station which provides a direct service to both Manchester and Leeds. The historic village of Heptonstall, reportedly one of West Yorkshire’s best kept secrets, is just a 10-minute drive, and Haworth, otherwise known as home to the Brontë sisters, can be reached in around 20 minutes. The National Parks of both the Peak District and Yorkshire Dales can be reached in around an hour. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 165 yards.
