Burton Fleming 2.5 miles. A lovely detached barn conversion, set on the owner's smallholding, in a peaceful, rural location, near to the pretty village of Burton Fleming. Beautifully converted with superb attention to detail, this cottage near Filey provides a fabulous base from which to explore the rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds and the nearby seaside resorts of Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough. This cottage near Bridlington has upside down accommodation with an open plan living space on the first floor, to take in the views over open countryside. This spacious area has an airy feel with a pitched ceiling, exposed timbers and a modern kitchen. Downstairs are two well-presented bedrooms with modern fittings and a contemporary shower room. With the added benefit of a warming woodburning stove in the sitting room, perfect for sitting around on cooler evenings, this cottage provides a very comfortable holiday home. There is plenty to do from this Yorkshire cottage, from the walks and cycle trails within the Yorkshire Wolds, to quaint villages and nearby market towns, such as Driffield and Beverley, whilst a short drive to Hunmanby brings you to a full range of amenities. Lovely hosts and a great welcome pack of eggs,milk and biscuits. Everywhere was spotless and so comfortable. Managed to dodge rain and was so nice to come back and relax in the warm.

As described. Very clean and spacious with excellent facilities. As this was for three friends with a small dog each, it was perfect as the owners accept three dogs at a small cost whereas many other properties only allow one or two. The fully enclosed garden was ideal. No small gaps for our dogs to escape from. Plenty of kitchen facilities and gadgets. A vehicle is needed as it is very remote so need to drive even to reach a shop or pub. But it is an excellent, peaceful base for visiting places along the East Yorkshire coast and lots of nearby interesting villages. Sadly for me my holiday was cut short due to a fall and ending up in Scarborough Hospital with a broken hip! But as our plans to see Whitby Robin Hoodâs Bay and Goathland did not happen, if I did return to this part of the country, I wouldnât hesitate to stay here again.

They even rang us to tell us the barn was ready at 2pm. Lovely and quiet. All you could ask for inside the barn. My sister and our 3 doggies all enjoyed our stay
