Reviewers consistently mention that the pods are very clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is frequently described as peaceful with beautiful views, close to local attractions and a village pub, suggesting a highly desirable setting.

The pods are noted for being spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay, though one review suggested that extended check-in and check-out times would improve the experience.

Facilities like the hot tub are well-received, and the pods are modern and well set up. However, a mention of a short power cut and a suggestion for additional amenities like milk and toiletries indicate room for improvement.

While guests appreciate the extras like cookies and pet beds, there is no consistent mention of gifts across reviews to accurately assess thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such extras are a pleasant surprise and not guaranteed.

There was only one other small pod in use and the housekeeping had completed the cleaning of that by 10.30am. Especially in the off peak week day season these could be adjusted slightly. Going by that example we could've had more time in our pod on our entry and exit days. It was very nice to have the cookies, coffee and tea etc however there was no milk so these were somewhat unusable until we had to travel back to Ingleton to get milk. We had a short power cut which was resolved very quickly by the owners which was appreciated. Overall a beautiful location, pods were modern, clean and well set up. I would put these in the 4 star bracket but little things such as milk or even small toiletries would have made the difference to make it a 5 star to us. Highly recommend for a quiet staycation with plenty of walks and a great pub 3/4 mile walk under Ribblehead Viaduct. Great video of pods on Instagram under Sykescottages

The space is very generous and the pod is very well equipped and beautifully decorated with cool modern touches. Plenty to do in the area during the day and a lovely local pub serving super tasty food! The hot tub was great for relaxing in during the evening after lots of walking and exploring during the day. Would definitely recommend and we would love to re visit in the future.

! We have just returned from a weeks stay in lapwing and I couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone wanting peace, quiet and luxury all at once. The pods are spectacular and all the little extras make it incredible. The surrounding area is breathtaking and sitting in a hot tub watching the clouds roll in over the peaks is spectacular. Can’t wait to book again and return.
