This modern one-bedroom cottage is situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the pretty town of Settle. It''s a good base for a couple plus one hound wanting comfort, access to amenities, and countryside walks from the doorstep.
Leave coats and muddy boots in the entrance hall then take the stairs to the first floor and relax in the living area. It''s an attractive space with a good-size sofa that invites you to sit and chat about your day, or cosy up with a film on the TV. Come dinnertime, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance but if you prefer to dine in, a well-equipped kitchen is at your disposal. There''s also a lovely dining table, perfect for a romantic meal with your loved one. When it''s time to retire, head downstairs to the king-size bedroom. The neutral tones and natural finishes create a soothing atmosphere while luxurious linens and a plush mattress ensure a good night''s sleep. A shower room is also located on this floor. To the front of the cottage, a small patio area is the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink. Pull up a chair, take it easy, and watch the world go by.
Settle is an ancient market town with a bustling weekly market and plenty of pubs, restaurants, and cafes. Hikers can explore the surrounding Dales or tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks of Pen-y-ghent (6 miles), Whernside (17 miles), and Ingleborough (7 miles). Alternatively, jump on the Ribble Way footpath and enjoy a 3-mile walk to the dramatic waterfall at Stainforth.

Beautiful cottage, ideal location, car parking nearby, brilliant for dog owners, loads of great places to eat/ takeaways. Some lovely individual shops. Enjoyed the flowerpot festival (July/August). Great base for exploring North Yorkshire and Lancashire.

This cottage is beautifully presented and the furnishings are lovely. It was spotlessly clean and the bedding and towels smelled amazing. The kitchen is well equipped, we used the coffee machine, oven and microwave and they all worked well. We had plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Very generous welcome pack - which was much appreciated. Our dog felt very relaxed here and now that the front garden area is fenced it made it safe. Owners left towels and poo bags for dogs and throws to put on the sofa if needed so that your dog can join you (ours preferred the floor!!!). There is no parking directly connected to the property but the car park is a few meters away and we had no problems parking- it's very close to the property but not noisy with traffic. Settle is a very pretty town - it's very dog friendly with nice walks in the town and surrounding areas. There are lots of cafes, a great butcher, take aways and a couple of supermarkets. We had good fish and chips from the market Square ( market day on Tuesday) and would also recommend the Thai restaurant (Darlings). I would highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing holiday but it's also a great base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
