Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like a welcome pack, though these are not guaranteed. The property is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with a garden and good parking. Some guests suggest updates and mention minor issues, but overall experiences are positive, with many planning to return.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be exceptionally clean. A few mentioned the need for a deep clean due to cobwebs and a musty smell in the kitchen, but these seem to be isolated comments.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to Skipton and local attractions, with good parking and public transport links. The peaceful village setting is also appreciated.

Comfort is generally well-received, with mentions of a 'super comfy' bed and high chairs. However, some guests found the beds uncomfortable and suggested improvements.

Guests often mention the welcome pack and helpfulness of the owners, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this is reflected in the score.

My wife and I were visiting family in the area so did not do much sightseeing. The are is stunning though with lots of local walks. The owner leaves a lovely welcome pack of bread, milk and biscuits, there has always been a good supply of essentials like tea, coffee, sugar etc. Thanks for another wonderful stay

Every amenity is catered for and the property is cosy and warm. There is a spacious back garden too to enjoy if the weather allows. Embsay is a fabulous quiet village with 2 good pubs serving good food at realistic prices and the village shop sells the essentials.
