The Upper Wharfedale settlement of Threshfield is a small community bordered by the towns of Grassington, Linton, Hetton, Cracoe, and Rylstone, the birthplace of the illustrious "Calendar Girls." Threshfield is a vibrant neighbourhood. One of the most charming villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Grassington, is only a short drive away. It is filled with traditional stone cottages, galleries, restaurants, and shops that are gathered around the cobbled market place. Additionally, a monthly farmers' market offers a mouthwatering selection of homemade and organic local produce. Both the Grassington Festival in June and the Dickensian Festival in December offer delight to visitors and are both highly recommended. This is an excellent walking place because it is near the River Wharfe and has vast Grass Woods to the north of the settlement. Bolton Abbey, the Priory, and the fabled "Strid Walk" are located down the valley. A little farther away is the magnificent town of Ilkley, which is overshadowed by the fabled Ilkley Moor. Up the valley are the towns of Kettlewell and Buckden, which are known for their breathtaking limestone scenery. Threshfield makes an excellent home base for exploring the neighbourhood and all that the Dales have to offer, with many more scenic locations scattered across Wharfedale and short driving distance to York and Bront Country.

The decor is very neutral and felt modern yet cottagie. The bed was very comfortable and the place was immaculately clean. Some great walks to Burnsall and Conistone via the falls. Not too far to walk into the beautiful little village of Grassington but if you canât manage the walk, Linton is very picturesque and the Fountaine pub is great for food and decent beers.
