The facilities are modern and mostly well-received, though there are suggestions for improvement such as adding a washing machine and providing better instructions for appliances. Some minor maintenance issues like the fridge door and TV angle were mentioned.
While guests appreciate the personal touches like the owner's call before arrival, there is no mention of gifts, and therefore it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness in terms of gifts. The score is set to null as per the instructions.

Skipton is conveniently located for day trips to the surrounding areas, including the Dales, York, the Lake District, and the West Coast, and has earned the nickname "The Gateway to the Dales" as a result. A colourful market occupies the cobblestone setts on either side of the high street in this charming market town, which also features a beautiful old parish church and an ancient castle open to the public. Skipton was ranked as the best place to live in Britain by The Sunday Times in 2014, and it was again named one of the top nine towns in Yorkshire and the North East in 2016. Steam railways at Embsay and Bolton Abbey offer regular excursions, and the Leeds–Liverpool Canal passes through Skipton, offering quick access to the mile-long Foulridge Tunnel and the five-rise locks at Bingley. You can leave your car at home and still enjoy golf, swimming, squash, tennis, and snooker thanks to the reliable public transportation system.

If I went again I would take a teapot, flood lighting for the kitchen, non slip shower mat and notes on how to undo the hob lock, steps to reach the draw cord on the blinds. (The cords could of course be lengthened as in my own home!) The bedroom lighting is excellent unlike the upper living area! A possible low cost improvement would be to add strip lighting under the kitchen cupboards.
Rae
Note bedroom and bathroom is downstairs. Convenient to Skipton canals and centre. Highly recommend.
Robert
Would have thought a non slip mat in shower, and an extension to the stairs handrail would have made it perfect.
