Woodside Barn in Thirsk is highly praised for its high standard, cleanliness, and beautiful location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and welcome gifts. The property offers a peaceful rural setting with easy access to local attractions, though some guests noted minor issues with steps and maintenance.
The property consistently receives compliments for its cleanliness, with guests describing it as spotless and immaculate. There are a few mentions of dust and cobwebs, but these are minor compared to the overall positive feedback.
The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to local sights, with easy access to the Moors, the coast, and market towns. Some guests found it a bit challenging to locate initially, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive reception.
Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of cosy furnishings, comfortable beds, and a homely atmosphere. The presence of steps and the water pressure in showers were minor discomforts for some.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the log burner. However, there are comments about the need for maintenance in bathrooms, and some guests suggested improvements such as better signage for steps and clearer instructions for heating and TV.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, with guests mentioning welcome gifts such as flowers, eggs, and sparkling wine. It should be noted that while these gestures are greatly appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a great stay. Thank you
Sarah
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful decor and cozy atmosphere. The host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The space itself was exceptionally comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. And getting to meet and feed Lily the horse was a delightful bonus! This is definitely a place we'll be returning to in the future. Highly recommended!

Very comfortable. Lovely hosts, only gripe was some of the oven trays needed a good clean before we used them... but that's down to previous guests not the hosts. Perfect location for walks in the area around Gormire lake and sutton bank. We visited brimmam rocks, Fountains Abbey and whitby too. Would definately stay again if we were in the area. Thank you so much
