The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Long Marston is a small village a few miles from York, with its own shop, pub and church, and easy access to country walks and bike rides. The historic city of York offers much in the way of shopping and entertainment as well as the Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, National Rail Museum and quirky Shambles to explore. Elegant Harrogate is also nearby, and the coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are easily reached.
