Every inch the classic English manor house, Middleham House is a ten bedroom property in the heart of Middleham. The perfect property for a special break as a group, the house has been thoughtfully refurbished to showcase the original features, and those of you who’ve been dreaming of stepping into the Downton lifestyle are in for a treat.
The drawing room’s just the place to spend time together, thanks to the grand piano, arched windows and an open fire, and there’s even a snooker table. Meals are a grand affair too, as the dining table seats 18, and there’s a breakfast room with seating for 12 for those of you who like to start your day by dining in style.
If you’re already having visions of yourself living as lord or lady of the manor then just wait until you see the bedrooms. Four of the ten have en suite bathrooms for those of you who like your own space, and each one has a bed that can be arranged as a king size or as twins.
Step outside and wander the three acres of walled garden, and on sunny days you’ll find a barbeque and patio furniture to help you enjoy the fresh Yorkshire air during your stay. Middleham House sits just moments from the town’s market square, and with cafes and tea rooms aplenty and the romantic ruins of Wensleydale nearby, the town’s a favourite with walkers and those looking for a real escape from the hustle and bustle.
