This Grade II listed house lies in the centre of Castle Bolton village and enjoys far reaching views to the front. Nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bolton Castle, a Grade I listed building and a scheduled ancient monument, stands proudly at the head of the village. Crayke House has been totally refurbished and at the same time retains all its original features with stone mullioned windows, intimate window seats overlooking the village green, beams and stone fireplaces. It also enjoys every contemporary comfort, making it a lovely year round home from which to explore the surrounding scenery. Carefully furnished and equipped it is a delightful retreat from all the bustle of everyday living.
The bustling market town of Leyburn is just over 6 miles away and offers a selection of individual country shops, pubs and restaurants, together with Tennants which is the largest auction house in Great Britain. Ideal for a family day out is the Forbidden Corner which is 8¼ miles away or watch the racehorses on the gallops at Middleham, 8 miles away. For the dedicated shopper, the spa town of Harrogate is 36 miles and offers a wide selection of quality shops. Alternatively, take a day out to York, 54 miles away, where you can explore this interesting historic city with its quaint streets, cathedral and museums. Shops and restaurant 6¼ miles, pub 1½ miles.
