Guests say

Guests consistently praise The Old Chapel for its charm, comfort, and beautiful garden. The property's restoration is admired, and its peaceful location in a picturesque village is appreciated. The presence of wildlife and proximity to scenic walks enhance the experience. The accommodation is described as warm and well-equipped, making it a cosy retreat, especially with the welcoming touches mentioned by some guests.

The majority of guests found The Old Chapel to be very clean, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, there was a single mention of the oven not being clean upon arrival, which was promptly addressed by the owner. This isolated incident slightly impacts the otherwise excellent cleanliness rating.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and convenience for exploring North Yorkshire's Moors and Dales. The village's peacefulness and the property's easy access to scenic walks and local attractions contribute to a high location score.

Guests frequently comment on the comfort of The Old Chapel, noting the cosy atmosphere and the warmth of the property, even during winter. The comfortable furnishings and the overall ambience of the chapel contribute to a high comfort score.

The Old Chapel is well-regarded for its facilities, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and responsive heating. Some guests suggest the addition of certain kitchen appliances and a note on limited walking paths nearby. Overall, the facilities are considered to be of a high standard.

While some guests mention a warm welcome with carefully chosen goodies, there is not enough consistent information across the reviews to accurately score thoughtfulness. As such, the score is set to null, and it should be noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

A very comfortable and unique property in a nice, if not spectacular, part of Yorkshire. We would recommend it for anyone looking for comfort and peace and quiet.

We loved the Chapel and the beautiful well kept garden, although some kitchen equipment and utensils need replacing. The village is very peaceful and an ideal location for exploring the Dales and Moors. However, walking in the immediate vicinity is very limited. Footpaths have PRIVATE ROAD signs or have had stiles highered, making it very difficult for people, and impossible for dogs, to negotiate as well as being overgrown with no visible path or signage. We drove to Scorton Lakes or Richmond Station which both have lovely walks, and enjoyed outstanding meals at The Heifer in Scorton

Lovely conversion and sympathetic renovation of the chapel. Garden is beautiful and perfect for dogs to enjoy freely. Location is a little isolated so be prepared to travel to amenities and attractions. Overall though, a very enjoyable holiday in very comfortable accommodation and beautiful surroundings
