Filey 3 miles. This lovely mid-terrace property is situated in a contemporary holiday development, The Bay, three miles from the traditional seaside town of Filey. With excellent on-site facilities, it provides a wonderful base for an enjoyable family holiday, with easy access to the beach and many nearby attractions. There is a spacious L-shaped open plan living area, with comfortable seating and a weloming woodburning stove to toast your toes on cooler evenings. The well-equipped kitchen has a dining area to one end and French doors opening onto a small rear patio, whilst upstairs are two light and airy bedrooms, the twin having zip/link beds, which can be a sumptuous super king-size double on request. With quality Egyptian cotton sheets and duvets, guests are assured of a good nights sleep. This bright and cheerful property, is just a short walk from the holiday village pub, café and pharmacist and is surrounded by extensive communal grounds, with picnic areas and two lakes. There is a host of outdoor activities to partake in, including fishing, tennis and bike hire. Guests are able to book scuba diving, archery and fencing lessons, whilst the indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room is sure to be a big hit with everyone. A pleasant walk brings you to a long, sandy and safe beach, ideal for building sand castles, paddling and relaxing in the summer sunshine. The quaint seaside resort of Filey has fine promenades, lovely ornamental gardens and a good variety of cafes, restaurants and shops. Weâve stayed in a few houses on The Bay complex and this one is the best weâve stayed at. Very comfortable, everything you need in the cottage. Good position with parking behind, not far to the gym, pub, swimming pool and shop. And 10 mins walk to the lovely dog friendly beach, we walked along that into Filey every day. The treat basket left for us in the house was nice. And I accidentally left a cardigan there and the owner kindly posted it to me, going above and beyond, which was a lovely thing to do and greatly appreciated. Overall a fab place to stay and lots to go visit around the area.

It was home from home. Enjoyed the welcome pack. Comfortable bed. Would certainly come again. We are thinking about seeking a larger property at the Bay and bringing our family next time.

The house is beautiful and has lots of lovely personal touches to make your stay home from home. The owner messaged to check everything was ok when I arrived and also part way through the week. The site is beautifully kept and spotlessly clean, the beach is a lovely walk about 10mins away down a path that is quite steep in places, Iâm not the fittest person by any means but I walked down there with my dog every day. The only tiny drawback I found was the lack of a secure garden so I had to be up and dressed to take the dog out early in the morning but I was aware of this before I went, just something to bear in mind when booking. I wouldnât hesitate to stay here again and enjoy this beautiful part of the world
