The resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive away, with their award winning beaches. The rspb bird sanctuary at Bempton is well worth a visit. You’ll see thousands of puffins and guillemots in their natural habitat as well as the seals that lounge on the rocks. In the area there are plenty of stately homes to visit such as Castle Howard, home to the filming of Brideshead Revisited, Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall. Visit some of the local market towns such as Pickering, Beverley and Driffield, all selling local produce and gifts.
