About this property

Bram's Lair is in a prestigious spot of the seaside town of Whitby, just moments away from the sandy beach. The interior has an open-plan living space with blue, grey, and white décor, as well as a shaker-style kitchen with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals. Unwind on the sofa with a cup of tea as you catch-up on shows on the wall-mounted TV or curl up on the armchair to escape into the pages of a book. The dining table is great for mealtimes and board games, so you can look forward to spending time together. After a day lounging on the beach, freshen up in the shower room before choosing your room. There are two bedrooms, a king-size with a dresser and a double bed with a single bunk on top with storage to keep your belongings. In the morning, enjoy a quaint stroll around Crescent Gardens before picking a café to enjoy a home-cooked breakfast and steaming cup of coffee. The coastal town of Whitby is ideal for the explorers at heart, where you can tour the ruins of Whitby Abbey, head up 199 steps for splendid views of the coastline and enjoy fish and chips on the sandy beach to unwind. A short drive will lead you to the picture-perfect village of Robin Hood's Bay; here you can paddle in rock pools on the sweeping beach, find ancient fossils and dine out at a traditional pub. Also, within easy reach is the vibrant town of Scarborough, home to a medieval castle to immerse yourself in the past, an aquarium to admire sea creatures and a water park for a splash. For long-lasting memories with your loved ones, consider Bram's Lair.

The hamper of treats and the dog treats were much appreciated. We didn't realise dog bowls would be provided so did bring our own but that was a handy touch by the owners. Apartment had all the amenities we needed - we did end up bringing our own iron and hairdryer as I couldn't see these as being listed as provided for (apologies if they were listed and I missed it) but if they aren't listed then I think it would be a good idea to just make a note that these are provided. Bed was comfy and lovely bedding along with fluffy thick towels added to the comfortable stay. The apartment overall is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. It's great that parking permits are provided and we found a spot easily with it being November but we did make an error with the second permit in that I omitted to add my reg plate on the permit and did come back to a parking notice which I was gutted about!! - I have appealed and await the outcome but would advise future guests to be so careful with these permits as not only ourselves but other cars around us got tickets also. The only negatives were the main front door to the actual building - it is a heavy door which is not easy to push/pull open and even more difficult to shut - my husband who is a pretty stocky young man even had to give it a good pull to get it to shut so we did want to provide feedback on this to advise we feel it could do with being looked at. Finally I felt the apartment was clean and tidy overall but there could just do with a bit more attention to detail with things like skirting boards which were dusty in places and the stool in the under sink cupboard in the bathroom was not clean enough to use. Overall we enjoyed our stay and love Whitby.

Comfortable and welcoming as a dog owner. Parking permits were a very welcome part of the package. We will recommend this to friends to take a few days in Whitby in this comfortable appartment

Beams lair is in an amazing location. We loved the views over the sea and how easy it was to get to everything from West Cliff. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen well equipped and we especially appreciated all the attention to detail for those traveling with children like a high chair, kids plates and cups, and a stool in the bathroom to help little ones get to the sink! We had a perfect stay and will definitely be back!
