Ewe Crag Beck Lodge receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and tranquil location, ideal for exploring North Yorkshire. Guests appreciate the well-equipped lodge, quality furnishings, and thoughtful touches, though some minor issues with heating and shower pressure were noted.
Guests consistently describe the lodge as clean and tidy, with one mentioning it could have been cleaner in some areas. Overall, the high standard of cleanliness is evident.
The lodge's location is celebrated for its peace and proximity to sightseeing spots, despite one guest finding it unexpectedly on a caravan site. Its setting in North Yorkshire is perfect for exploring the area.
Comfort is highlighted with mentions of quality furniture, comfy beds, and a relaxing atmosphere. Some guests experienced issues with shower pressure and heating, but these were minor compared to the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with ample utensils and cooking items. However, the absence of a DVD player and some maintenance issues like shower pressure slightly affect the score.
The lodge includes many thoughtful extras, such as an informative folder and wildlife magazines. No gifts are mentioned, and while thoughtful touches are noted, it's politely stated that such extras are not guaranteed.

The location is excellent for exploring the brilliant countryside and seaside. The 4 of us were very comfortable in this well furnished lodge and we highly recommend staying here to explore the local area. We had everything provided in the lodge for a relaxing and excellent break. Local pubs took 45 minutes to walk to; however, that was in the snow. Will not hesitate to book here again the next time we visit this area.

The location was great, only 10 mins drive to Whitby. Itâs very quiet, even on a busy caravan site. The accommodation is well equipped. The only downsides were it is classed as family friendly but you have to take your own travel cot & Highchair. This wasnât an issue but would have been much more convenient not to need to take them. We also stayed in October & the weather was quite cold some days & nights, we had our 2 month old baby with us, the heating appeared to go off on a night and the rooms cooled down very quickly so I had to keep getting up in the night to manually put the heating back up to keep it a warm enough level for our baby. This was a minor inconvenience for our otherwise lovely stay.

A beautiful, quiet lodge set in woodland which was great for evening walks with our 3 younger children. It was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities you need. Perfectly located for Whitby & other seaside resorts on the East Coast. Had a fantastic holiday and wouldnât hesitate to stay there again.
