This bright and modern terraced property is situated in a quiet location in the popular, historic fishing port of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. With lots of amenities and a choice of sandy beaches just a few minutes' walk away, Harbour Walk provides the perfect base for families or a couple to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. In a central location with views across the harbour and estuary and onwards to Whitby abbey. Offering unusual reverse-level accommodation, off-street parking can be found on the upper-ground-floor level, where a private gated area leads to the cottage. Upon entering the property, you will find a bright and airy, open-plan living area with pleasant views towards the harbour and over the railway. The sitting room has a choice of two sofas to settle down onto, whilst watching the wall-mounted TV, one of the sofas even has a pull out bed, which can be utilised if required. The compact but practical kitchen has all of the necessary appliances to put together delicious family meals, which can be enjoyed around the wooden dining table, with enough seating for the whole group. The two bedrooms are on the ground floor, offering luxury bedding and towels, with the king-size room opening onto a sunny, front patio where you can sit and relax, watching the steam trains trundling by as they approach the station, while the second twin bedroom is perfect for all ages. With the added benefit of private parking, rarely found in Whitby, this fabulous cottage is an ideal holiday home; stroll into the hustle and bustle of this delightful resort and discover an excellent choice of pubs, restaurants, independent shops and cafés, with its quaint cobbled market place, narrow ginnels and beautiful harbour all waiting to be explored. Children will delight in the long, sandy beaches, complete with donkey rides and brightly painted beach huts, whilst the seafront Spa Pavilion Theatre hosts shows and films throughout the main season. The main attractions in the town include the open top tour bus, whale watching boat trips, Captain Cook's Museum, evening ghost walks and lovely floral displays at Pannett Park. Venture along the coast in either direction and find pretty market towns like Pickering and Helmsley and coastal villages such as Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay, whilst a ride on the Heritage Steam Railway that winds its way through heather-clad moorland to Pickering is a must.
