The Salty Fox in Whitby is a well-regarded holiday cottage, praised for its excellent location, spaciousness, and comfort. Guests appreciate its proximity to local attractions and suitability for families and pets. While some cleanliness issues were noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness received mixed reviews. Some guests found the property to be tidy and well-maintained, while others noted areas needing deeper cleaning, such as kitchenware and carpets. The occasional presence of pet odours was also mentioned.
The location is highly praised for its convenience, being close to the town centre, harbour, and local attractions. The scenic surroundings and dog-friendly environment contribute to its appeal.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the house spacious, with a homely feel. Some minor issues were raised regarding the top floor's temperature and the suitability of blinds for blocking out light.
The facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample amenities. However, some guests noted a lack of certain kitchen items and suggested the property could benefit from additional bathrooms.
The provision of complimentary toiletries and games was appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, some guests were disappointed by the absence of items like milk and biscuits, which, while not guaranteed, would have been a welcome touch.

Very comfy and plenty of space. Great location, walking distance to town centre and local walks. Short drive to local attractions. House is very well equipped and the stickle bricks were a big hit.
Rebecca
Beds in top floor really uncomfortable but still a great room. When we opened the fridge it was really smelly and we had to deep clean it to get rid of the smell. BUT a really nice place to stay, just a clean and refresh.
