Guests say

Tulip Lodge is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. The location is appreciated for its proximity to the beach and local amenities, though the steep hill is noted. The hot tub is a highlight, contributing to the lodge's relaxing atmosphere. Some guests experienced issues with Wi-Fi and maintenance, but these do not overshadow the overall positive experiences.

Guests consistently describe the lodge as clean, well-presented, and spotless, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One mention of dog hair suggests a minor oversight, but overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive.

The lodge's location is generally well-received, with its quiet setting and proximity to the beach and local pubs. The steep hill to the beach is mentioned, but it does not detract significantly from the location's appeal.

Reviews highlight the lodge's comfort, noting the comfortable beds and the relaxing hot tub. The spaciousness and modern amenities contribute to a comfortable stay, although a few guests mentioned a lack of towel rails and high mirrors as minor discomforts.

Facilities like the hot tub and well-stocked kitchen are appreciated, but several guests reported issues with Wi-Fi, heating, and TV channels. Maintenance concerns, such as guttering and key safe problems, suggest room for improvement.

The provision of a welcome pack with treats and essentials is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, they should be considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

About this property

Staithes 2.5 miles. Set on the gorgeous grounds of the Runswick Bay Holiday Park, just a short drive from the village of Staithes, rests this charming, two-bedroom, wood-built holiday home, Tulip Lodge. Boasting off-road parking, enclosed, furnished decking, an open-plan living space, and great positioning to nearby amenities, this lovely lodge welcomes a family or group of sharing friends seeking a refreshing, self-catered escape within the wonderful North York Moors National Park. After you've unpacked, make yourself comfortable in your new home-from-home, by setting up shop in the well-equipped kitchen, where you and your loved ones can rustle up a home-cooked feast to be savoured at the dining table or alfresco on the outdoor decking. When you're ready to relax, take a dip in the outdoor hot tub and look up as the starry night appears overhead, the most peaceful way to finish your day. When sleep inevitably calls, rejuvenate with a hot shower before you settle down for a well-earned slumber in one of the two plush bedrooms. Perfect for making memories whatever the season, book Tulip Lodge for your next stay in North Yorkshire.

A delight for artists, Staithes is a quaint, peaceful seaside town with cobblestone streets and narrow alleyways. A secluded sandy beach is nestled among the rocky shoreline, and the town's charming homes and cottages are grouped around the historic harbour and bordered by high, jagged cliffs on three sides. The community can claim ties to Captain Cook, who served as an apprentice to a draper close to the harbour. Today, Staithes, which boasts a decent selection of pubs, shops, and tea rooms, is a must-see for anyone travelling to the Yorkshire Coast. There is still an rnli lifeboat station in Staithes, along with a small fleet of cobles (fishing boats) that land fish, crab, and lobster. Boat trips are also offered for fishing, birdwatching, and even whale watching. Old Jack's Boat, a well-liked BBC children's television programme, is also filmed there. With an annual Art and Heritage Festival, galleries, and artist studios that frequently provide art classes and seminars, Staithes has a strong draw for artists. The network of ginnels (alleyways) is navigated by the free Illusion Trail, which also offers local trail guides. The Cleveland Way, which descends the cliff to the sea's edge, offers the best views of the town. All in all, a great starting point for touring the Yorkshire Coast, going to Whitby or Scarborough, or taking in the moorland settlements of the North York Moors National Park.

Lodge was very clean and had everything we needed & the hot tub was a real luxury. The site is lovely & quiet with only 7 lodges. Parking right next to lodge which was perfect. We’ll definitely be back!

All the lodges are well spaced out so you could enjoy your own space. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with all the utensils needed for cooking & doing your own food. The hot tub was excellent, very clean & obviously well maintained we enjoyed a dip in that each day before chilling out in the evening. The only bit of feedback I would give on a downside was there were no towel rails (apart from the towel radiators) & the mirrors were too high on the wall to sit on the stools to use productively to do make up & dry hair etc… apart from that (which is a minor detail) we had a wonderful relaxing stay & would definitely recommend to other people to go there. We were only a short drive away from Whitby & Saltburn-By-The-Sea so loads of opportunities for exploring around the area. Has a wonderful week & will definitely go back again. Thanks for a lovely stay. Xx
