Offering a real dose of country charm, the accommodation is small but perfectly formed, and offers everything needed to be able to relax and unwind. Self-catering facilities include a 2-ring mini stove with a combination microwave oven/grill, and the shepherd’s hut also features a modern en-suite shower room. Outside you can soak in the glorious hot tub whilst taking in the far reaching countryside views or dark skies and stars at night.

If you can bear to drag yourself away there’s so much to see and do in the surrounding area. Ample walks are available straight from the door with the grounds of the property directly accessing a public bridleway. Excellent off road hacking is available with the owners able to arrange on-site stabling and grazing for horses (charges apply).

The landscaped gardens of the National Trust’s Nostell Priory are a mere 5-minute drive, as is the stunning open space and woodland trails of Anglers Country Park. Hemsworth Water Park is around a 10-minute drive and home to two well-stocked fishing lakes as well a man-made sandy beach. There is also Wentworth Castle, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Cannon Hall, of which all can be reached in just half an hour.
