We felt extremely comfortable, warm and cosy with everything we needed. The area is quiet and peaceful and we slept well in the comfy beds. Richard was very welcoming and even sourced us a walking stick to borrow for my mother, whoâd left hers at home. We enjoyed the scones and biscuits left for us too! Weâd definitely stay again if weâre visiting the area.

Bedrooms were really comfortable with their ensuite bathrooms. Suited us 3 adults. Kitchen extremely well equipped (even managed to cook a full Sunday roast!). Hosts live next door, so on hand if you need anything and they are extremely helpful. A peaceful spot - no road noise, in fact no noise at all!! About 20 mins to the Park and Ride for York. We managed to do the Wolds, Moors and Dales all in a week! Great spot for seeing it all. Walks from the door. We hope to do a return trip.
