Guests say

Westfield Lodge is highly praised for its excellent location, cleanliness, and the thoughtfulness of the host, Kay. Guests consistently mention the welcoming touches, such as a hamper and the presence of a hot tub, which add to the comfort of their stay. The lodge's setting offers beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing break. While there are some minor concerns about Wi-Fi and heating, the overall experience is deemed luxurious and guests frequently express a desire to return.

Guests are very satisfied with the cleanliness of the lodge, often describing it as immaculate. There is a single mention of damp and mould, but this appears to be an isolated comment amidst overall positive feedback.

The lodge's location is frequently highlighted as a positive feature, with its proximity to York and Malton and the peaceful countryside setting. The remote aspect is appreciated by those seeking a quiet getaway, although one review mentioned it being colder than expected.

Comfort is well-regarded, with mentions of a warm, spacious lodge and comfortable bed. However, there is a suggestion for a larger duvet and a preference for a sofa over chairs, indicating room for improvement.

Facilities like the hot tub are a highlight, though there are mixed comments about Wi-Fi and central heating, and one issue with the hot tub that was resolved. The cooking supplies and other amenities are generally appreciated.

The host's thoughtfulness is consistently praised, with mentions of welcome hampers and treats. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is noted that such personal touches, although common, cannot be guaranteed for every stay.

The wi-fi doesn’t work but we got around that. The welcome basket was a special touch as were the other produce left on our doorstep x If I had to make a suggestion it would be a bigger duvet in order to make sure it covered feet etc. Bed was extremely comfortable unusual to find this host is brilliant. Hot tub relaxing and the chickens added to the environment really lovely
