Tucked away within the majestic setting of County Antrim, is this detached lodge, Alken Cabin. Ideally positioned, this delightful base comes within striking distance of the Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, sandy beaches and endearing waterfalls, perfect for an adventurous family holiday. It comes with two wonderfully presented bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom and a triple bunk bedroom, each offering a tranquil spot to wake up to each morning. Look forward to spending sociable evenings within the open-plan living room where you will be delighted by the necessities that await your arrival. In here, you will be able to prepare a home-cooked meal within the kitchen area before the family settle down within the dining area to tuck into a delicious meal. Curl up with your loved ones on the plush L-shaped sofa, where you can catch up on your favourite TV shows or host a competitive games night before retiring of an evening. Spend a moment or two in the garden area, where you can enjoy the superb views whilst you enjoy your morning coffee, or rustle up some summer treats on the BBQ during the warmer evenings. If you can tear yourself away from this superb dwelling, venture to the village of Bushmills and enjoy an afternoon at the Old Bushmills Distillery, where you can sample a fine selection of whiskeys. Alternatively, explore its wealth of amenities including quaint coffee shops and independent gift shops. Within a short drive you will find one of the most recognisable World Heritage Sites, The Giant’s Causeway, which was made by millions of years of volcanic and geologic activity. Also nearby is the National-Trust-owned Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, where you will be in awe with the spectacular views that await you as you cross. Alken Cabin is a wonderful base for exploring Northern Ireland further.
Bushmills is a village resting within County Antrim, Northern Ireland, located 60 miles away from Belfast and 11 miles from Ballycastle. The village is known for its Old Bushmills Distillery which produces many varieties of whisky. Within the village you will also find a good selection of coffee shops and licensed restaurants with several gift shops, galleries and varied retail outlets.
