This very beautiful part of Scotland offers many activities for the discerning visitor, including walking, golfing, salmon and trout fishing, skiing in the Highlands and surfing the waves of Scotland’s sandy beaches at Sandend and Banff. The unspoilt fishing villages of Crovie, Pennan, Gardenstown, Portsoy and Cullen are well worth a visit and although rural, the cottage is within an easy drive of Huntly, Turriff and Banff. The area boasts many festivals throughout the summer including Fochabers Speyfest, Dufftown Whisky Festivals, Portsoy Boat Festival, Turriff Show, Keith Show and various local highland games. Explore the rugged coastline, try pony trekking, tracing your ancestors or visiting National Trust properties. An ideal base to explore this lovely part of Scotland. Beach 18 miles.
